Top 6 Reasons to Partner with the HOA Election Team

We make it easy to vote and participate

Making homeowners association elections accessible is the first step in getting quorum and avoiding disputes. So we don't use legal jargon and we take the extra time needed to explain to homeowners, boards, and property managers what to expect and how best to resolve any issues that may pop up and threaten to derail an otherwise successful election.

Custom mailing and voting materials

Every mailing to HOA members includes prominent and consistent display of the community name. Additionally, we rebrand materials – including our tri-fold voting guide brochure – with the name of the association and information specific to the community’s ballot.

We are vested in hitting quorum

Running a successful election is part of our commitment to you, and that includes procedures designed to meet your required quorum. It also means we don’t charge more if it takes a bit more effort to get there.

We view voter turnout and getting quorum as a shared challenge and we work alongside your board and property management company to get quorum the first time. If we miss, we cover costs for the extra mailings to extend deadlines and get the participation needed.

Expertise in corporate contracts and comms

Our team has 15 years experience negotiating and managing strategic partnerships and legal agreements* with such companies as Google, Yahoo, PayPal, LegalZoom, Verizon, and many others. What does that mean? We’re sticklers for detail, for deadlines, for meeting our commitments, and for clear and concise communications with your board of directors, with management, and with HOA membership.

Additionally, our team is led by a state licensed notary public, one of the three outside party professional backgrounds listed by the state in state Civil Code 5110(b) pertaining to Inspectors of Elections.

Leveraging tech to make it all easier

We use a digital on-boarding process so you aren’t filling out paper forms for every election, digital forms for candidate statements mean that nothing is left to interpretation, and custom web pages for each HOA election make it easy for association members to find important dates and deadlines, review open items, resolutions, and candidate selection, and easily click into the final meeting to count ballots.

Simple pricing, no nickel-and-diming

We run straightforward, full service HOA elections – and can quote you a final price before we start the work. In fact, here are some examples - $375 total cost for a full board election for an HOA with 15 or fewer units; or $750 for one with 25 units -- and that's for everything needed to get you through balloting to a final count. If your association is bigger than that, we use variable pricing that makes your costs even lower per home and gives discounts for elections that don't go to full ballot.

And unlike some election processors, we don’t charge extra by the envelope, by the stamp or for copies of each piece of paper. We know others do – and there’s a lot of profit built into those costs. We aren’t here to sell envelopes and copies, we just want to run successful HOA elections and ballot initiatives. We price our association plans competitively, and we’re willing to cut our profits with additional mailings that may be necessary to reach quorum because we believe planning for success is in all of our best interests.

*HOA Election Team does not provide real estate legal advice or representation. We will review provided ballot documents for alignment with standard best practices. For rewriting of CC&Rs and other original legal documents, we can refer you to qualified legal firms specializing in real estate law. At this time, it would be a violation of state law for an Elections Inspector to provide such additional services. Civ. Code § 5110(b)
